About:
Smokes Navajo is the product of CB Dedmon Cutting Horses of Dallas, Texas. The Dedmon’s had a complete dispersal sale in 2001, but they still rank #25 among QH News’ top ranches in production of Cutting, Reining and Working-Cow horses.
Navajo is nearly an exact replica of his sire, Smokes Peppy San, is a two time APHA World Cutting Champion and has offspring earning in excess of $311,000. His dam, Two DS San Peppy, has offspring earning in excess of $840,000.00 and is currently #20 on QH News’ Top 100 Cutting Dams of All Time, not bad considering many of those listed are still living. She had been #17 just a couple years ago, and is still the ONLY paint horse on the list.
Please visit the Pedigree & Research page for complete details on the producing power of Navajo's sire and dam
Navajo is a proven producer of color. His offspring are blessed with long, thick, flashy manes popular in today’s cutting, reining and cow horse events. They excel at their jobs, even at barrel racing.
With just 3 weekend
shows in North Dakota, Navajo and I earned the 2009 NDCHA $5,000 NH/NP Reserve Champion
award, and we didn't even make it to Area Days. We were only able to
attend a total of 4 weekend events in 2009, but he earned nearly
$1,000.00 at those small shows.
My
schedule precluded us from making it to very many events in 2010,
however Navajo did earn the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame Circuit
Champion Award to end our show season in ND and were money earners at
MCHA cuttings qualifying us for Eastern & Western National
Championships.
