Homozygous negative for Hereditary Equine Regional Dermal Asthenia (HERDA). His pedigree does not include Poco Bueno, who is believed to be the origination of HERDA. However, it does include a ½ brother, 89er. Both 89er and Poco Beuno were sired by King.

OLWS          N/N
Homozygous negative for Overo Lethal White Syndrome (OLWS). He is registered as and exhibits overo coloring. He is capable of and has previously produced overo foals.

Tobiano        N/N
Homozygous negative for the Tobiano allele. He is capable of and has previously produced tobiano foals, depending upon the coloring of the dam.

Sabino 1       N/N
Homozygous negative for the Sabino 1 allele. However, he does exhibit some sabino type coloring consisting of white legs, belly spots, bald face and blue eyes. The Sabino gene is complex and thought to be polygeneic. Sabino 1 is currently the only available test related to sabino coloring.

**Because of these results, it is likely that he carries another form of Overo allele or possibly the Splash allele. Currently, no tests are available for these.

Red/Black    e/e
Homozygous for recessive red factor. He has black pigmented skin and red pigmented hair, except for his white spots, which have pink skin.

Agouti         A/A
Homozygous dominant for the Agouti allele. Because he is e/e (red), meaning he has no black to modify, the Agouti allele is not visually expressed in his color. He is capable of and has previously produced bay foals.

Dilutions    N/N
Homozygous negative for Champagne, Cream, Pearl and Silver dilution alleles.
